Well, it appears you may have an eye for selective coloring. The only thing I would recommend is lots of patients. The sky does not need to be colored in, but try to get around the grass at his hands. IMHO, soft focus is just an excuse for not getting the photo right in the first place. But, I really like the duck in the mouth, although you could pick one where he does not look like a "deer in the head lights." On a final note, the mirror is brilliant. I wish I had thought of it first.
